Michizane ist der Schutzheilige des Lernens.
Atarus Mutter hat im Daizai-fu Tenmangu Schrein einen Talisman für ihren Sohn gekauft, in welchem sich Michizane befand. Dieser beschloss den Spickzettel, den Ataru darin versteckte, zu entfernen und ihm stattdessen selbst während der schriftlichen Prüfung beizustehen. Leider ist er schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und kann weder Englisch noch altes in modernes Japanisch übersetzen.

Der exzentrische Schutzgeist entschließt sich nach mehreren Fehlschlägen endlich dazu, bei anderen Schülern abzuschreiben.
