Youko ging auf dieselbe Highschool wie heute ihr Bruder Akira. Sie hatte damals einen Freund namens Arima, an den sie sich manchmal heute noch zurück erinnert, obwohl ihre Beziehung auseinander ging, nachdem er woanders hingezogen war. Dass sie überhaupt einen Freund hatte, hat sie Akira nie direkt erzählt, so dass es ihn schwer überrascht, als er es von Mikoto erfährt, mit der Youko darüber geplaudert hatte.
