Nanayon hat ein Team aus Ablegern und Verwandten des AK-47 um sich geschart und fordert Funco und ihre Freunde während ihres Klassenausfluges zu einem Duell heraus. Sie glaubt, dass diese ihren Sinn als Waffen verloren haben und will mit diesem entscheidenden Zweikampf festlegen, welche von ihnen es wert sind zu existieren.

Upotte Waffenkunde
Das AK-74 ist ein in den 1970ern entwickelter Nachfolger des AK-47, es verwendet 5.45x39mm Munition. Der Name »Nanayon« leitet sich wie bei allen Upotte-Charakteren aus dem Waffennamen ab, »Nana-« (なな; 7) und -»yon« (よん; 4).
