Bereits in der Vergangenheit durfte Fox Black Jack bei seiner Arbeit zusehen und ist seither begeistert von dessen Kompetenz als Arzt. Manche sehen Black Jack mit gemischten Gefühlen, weil er ein Arzt ohne Lizenz ist, doch sieht Fox in ihm nur einen äußerst fähigen Doktor, der vielen Menschen das Leben retten kann.
