Reiya war derjenige, der den Ausflug geplant und sich den Ort ausgesucht hat und hofft auf schöne Erlebnisse während dieser Zeit, doch schon am ersten Abend werden seine Hoffnungen zerstört, als Yukito und Suzukas jüngere Schwester Kotomi ermordet aufgefunden wird und ihre Mörder noch nicht gefasst wurden. Neben dem Schock empfindet er auch Schuldgefühle, weil er sich als den Verantwortlichen sieht, der das Leben der anderen in Gefahr gebracht hat. Beruhigen lässt er sich nur durch seine Freundin Otoha, in welche er sich insgeheim verliebt hat, aber auch weiß, dass sie seine Gefühle nicht erwidern würde, weil ihr Herz Yukito gehört.
