Otoha ist die Kindheitsfreundin von Yukito, für den sie mittlerweile aber mehr empfindet als für einen gewöhnlichen Freund und sich seitdem eine gemeinsame Zukunft mit ihm wünscht. Die wohl größte Eigenschaft von ihr ist ihre Selbstlosigkeit, was sich daran zeigt, dass sie der Tod von Kotomi zwar tief erschüttert, ihr die anderen zu diesem Zeitpunkt aber viel wichtiger sind und diese deshalb in dieser schweren Zeit seelisch unterstützen möchte. Vor allem um Reiya kümmert sie sich rührend, weil er sich als Organisator des Ausflugs die Schuld für Kotomis Tod gibt und deshalb innerlich am Boden ist. Otoha versucht, ihm diese Schuldgefühle auszutreiben, da niemand wissen konnte, dass sowas passiert.
