Nachdem ihr Bruder bei einem Erdrutsch ums Leben kam, kümmert sie sich nun als Ärztin um die Kranken auf der Insel. Weil sie keine Chirurgin ist, kann sie einen nicht behandeln, wenn man operiert werden muss, doch ist sie dennoch äußerst kompetent, weswegen sie mit den meisten Fällen mühelos fertig wird. Von allen Bewohnern der Insel wird sie sehr geschätzt, weswegen auch niemand will, dass sie diesen Ort verlässt. Mit ihren Fähigkeiten könnte sie zumindest sicherlich auch in einem Krankenhaus auf dem Festland arbeiten, doch weil die Inselbewohner sie brauchen, kann sie den Ort nicht einfach verlassen.
