Die Erscheinung einer vornehmen Dame kann trügen, was auch im Fall der großen Esserin Akane zutreffen mag. Zwar erweckt sie oberflächlich den Eindruck einer wohlerzogenen Lady, doch hinter diesem Schein verbirgt sich eine ziemlich verschmitze Mittelschülerin mit Hang zu gelegentlichen Handgreiflichkeiten. Akane verbringt viel Zeit mit ihren Freundinnen Tsukishima Kokound Yukimura Anzu. Ohne selbst ein unmittelbares Interesse an einer Romanze zu haben unterstützt sie gemeinsam mit Anzu die Beziehung von Koko und Sakurai Yoshiyuki. In ihrem Eifer übertreibt sie es allerdings auch gerne mal etwas, sodass sie mehr schöne Momente ruiniert als herbeiführt.
