Denzel ist ein Waisenkind, das zusammen mit Tifa Lockheart, Marlene Wallace und Cloud Strife in Edge lebt. Er leidet wie viele andere an der um sich greifenden Krankheit Geostigma für die es keine Heilung gibt und sowohl Tifa wie auch Marlene machen sich große Sorgen um ihn. Da er für sich selbst wenig Hoffnung auf Genesung sieht, verschwindet er von zuhause und läuft später Kadaj und seiner Bande über den Weg.
