Jim ist Kazumis Mann und Nicks Vater. Mit den beiden zusammen holt er Mitsuki vom Flughafen ab, als diese nach Amerika reist. Obwohl er Amerikaner ist, spricht er fließend Japanisch und kennt sich auch ansonsten sehr gut mit der japanischen Kultur aus. Laut eigenen Angaben war seine Liebe zu Kazumi, Liebe auf den ersten Blick und er bat sie schon nach einem gemeinsamen Essen, mit ihm auszugehen.
