Während der Middle School wurde Kihara, ein Klassenkamerad von Katou, von mehreren Schülern gemobbt, ohne dass ihn jemand beschützt oder die Mobber aufgehalten hat und da Kihara selbst nicht wusste, wie er sich vor ihnen schützen könnte, musste er täglich ihre Mobbing-Attacken über sich ergehen lassen. Katou zumindest wollte ihm helfen und meldete diesen Vorfall ihrem Klassenlehrer Kutsuwa, welcher aber, statt Kihara zu helfen, diesem nur riet, die Schule zu wechseln, wenn er unfähig ist, sich selbst zu verteidigen, was Kihara letztlich auch gemacht hat.
