Kirino ist Pfleger im Zoo und Handa-sans Arbeitskollege. Auch er ist bei den Tieren sehr beliebt, hat aber im Gegensatz zu seinem Kollegen das Glück, nicht auch noch von der Damenwelt gemieden zu werden.
Mit Handa-san verbindet ihn eine gute Freundschaft. Da er von seinem Problem mit Frauen weiß, versucht er oft Handa-san in Sachen Liebe auf die Sprünge zu helfen. Dabei erhält er Unterstützung von Panda-kun.
