Yashiro & Co. suchen Schülerratspräsidentin Chiho auf, mit der Hoffnung, sie könne Yashiros Anwesenheit auf dem Schulfest bestätigen, da dies bestätigen könnte, dass er Tatara Totsuka nicht umgebracht haben kann wie behauptet wird, schließlich spielte sich dessen Mord zeitgleich mit dem Schulfest ab. Zu Yashiros Enttäuschung hatte Chiho ihn an dem Abend nicht gesehen, da sie und der Schülerrat zu sehr damit beschäftigt waren, seinen Mitschüler Souta, welcher aufgrund einer Abweisung seitens Kukuri aus Frust sämtliche Feuerwerksraketen anzündete, unter Kontrolle zu kriegen.
