Die Top-Agentin der Spezialabteilung der Siebten Division, die den organisierten Drogenhandel in Tokyo bekämpft, geht meist allein auf ihre Missionen, was zwei Gründe hat. Zum einen ist sie besonders fähig und ein Partner, der ihr das Wasser reichen könnte, muss erst noch gefunden werden und zum anderen entscheidet sie gerne nach eigenem Ermessen, wie sie weiter vorgeht. Selbst wenn ihre Einsatzleiterin Shouko ganz genau befiehlt, unter welchen Umständen sie nicht weiter vorrücken soll, vertraut Rei lieber ihrem Bauchgefühl, ob sie das Risiko eingeht oder nicht. Der Erfolg gibt ihr recht: Mehrere Männer binnen Sekunden auszuschalten bringt sie ohne Probleme fertig und die ersten sind meist schon tot, bevor nur einer von ihnen die Situation überhaupt erfasst hat. So leichtsinnig ihre Methoden aussehen, hat sie doch immer die volle Kontrolle über sich und die Situation, was schon eine beachtliche Leistung ist, da sie über ein ausgeprägtes Temperament verfügt und im Umgang mit Verbrechern nicht gerade zimperlich vorgeht.
