Sumae ist eine Schülerin aus Tsukunes Klasse und teilt ihre Vorliebe für Klatsch und Lästereien mit ihren Freundinnen Tonko und Shijimi. Außerdem ist sie ein Mitglied des aufgelösten Yaoi-Manga-Clubs. Ihr Club hatte sich dem »Sicherheitskomitee« widersetzt und wurde daraufhin von Keito versklavt. In der Zeit musste sie Keito zusammen mit Tonko und Shijimi, bis zu deren Niederlage gegen Moka, dienen. Der Vorfall tat ihrer Freundschaft jedoch keinen Abbruch.
