Kaum dass Carrot eine Abfuhr bekommen hat, zieht er alsbald zum nächsten Mädchen und seiner nächsten Chance. Einmal mehr endet die Begegnung recht unsanft für ihn, wobei dieses Mädchen ihre Blüte verliert, die sie in ihrem Haar trug. In diesem einen Moment konnte das Mädchen zumindest einmal an etwas anderes denken, denn ansonsten macht sie einen tief traurigen Eindruck und blickt sehnsüchtig in Richtung des Anwesens von Barbara, darum betend, dass ihr Freund von dort zurückkommt.
