Während des Versuchs, die Eltern von Treize, Fiona und Carr Benedict aus den Fängen ihrer Geiselnehmer zu befreien, gelingt es ihm und Lillia ungesehen zu einer Funkstation zu kommen. Leider dauert es eine Weile bis der Fluglotse des Flugkontrollzentrums von Kunst an seinem Funkgerät erscheint, da er bei diesen Witterungsverhältnissen nicht mit irgendwelchen Funksprüchen gerechnet hat. Als er endlich ans Funkgerät kommt, ist es deshalb schon zu spät und die beiden werden von Mitgliedern der Geiselnehmer gestört, sodass sie ihre Nachricht nicht vollständig übermitteln können und nur die Worte Royal Lodge bei dem Fluglotsen ankommen.
