Momoko könnte man als die einzige wahre Freundin von Megumi bezeichnen. Sie ist immer für sie da, unterstützt sie und ist anders als die anderen »Freunde«, die Megumi sich reihenweise erkauft. Sie findet es schade, dass Megumi sich selbst so runtermacht indem sie anderen hinterher rennt. Sie weiß, dass Megumi eine tolle Person ist, sie sollte es nur öfter zeigen. Doch leider sorgt diese Art dafür, dass Megumi sich bald gegen Momoko stellt und diese öffentlich vor anderen demütigt. Dass Momoko dennoch zu ihrer Freundin hält, ist ein wahrer Beweis für ihre Freundschaft Megumi gegenüber. Ihr Klassenkamerad Taku hat etwas für sie übrig und hilft ihr in der schweren Zeit.
