Yoriko ist Mahiros Mutter und eine leidenschaftliche Monsterjägerin. Ihre Hauptwaffe ist, wie auch bei ihrem Sohn, die Gabel. Sie hat ein junges Auftreten und ist die meiste Zeit über sehr positiv und optimistisch gestimmt. Zu Anderen ist sie freundlich und zuvorkommend; so erlaubt sie Nyaruko, Kuuko und Hasuta, bei Mahiro und ihr einzuziehen. Ähnlich wie Kuuko hat sie eine Leidenschaft für Videospiele, weshalb sich die Beiden auf Anhieb gut verstehen. Ihren Sohn Mahiro liebt sie sehr, was an den zahlreichen Umarmungen deutlich wird, die Mahiro zum Teil jedoch unangenehm sind.
