Genauso wie ihre beste Freundin Marika Katou arbeitet sie im Retro-Café Lamp House. Mami ist eine recht bodenständige, aber liebevolle und überaus freundliche Person, die immer ein offenes Ohr für ihre Freundin hat, da sie weiß, dass es für sie sehr schwer ist sich gegenüber ihrer Mutter zu beweisen. Viel kann Mami zunächst nicht mit dem Piratentum anfangen, die ihr alleine aus Geschichtsbüchern bekannt sind, doch unterstützt sie ihre Freundin in dem Bestreben eine Piratin zu werden. Da Mami an der Schule Teil des Strickclubs ist, verändert sie kurzerhand Marikas Piratenuniform, damit diese etwas besser zu ihr passt, und auch ansonsten hilft sie gerne mal mit Kostümen aus, da Mami ein großer Fan von Cosplay ist.
