In der Stadt bricht Chaos aus als von überall mutierte Menschen (zunächst hauptsächlich Häftlinge, die von Jack Stradar infiziert wurden) herströmen und über die Bewohner von Houseman wie Zombies herfallen. Diese Frau kann gerade eben noch so von Hannibal Quasar gerettet werden, bevor einer dieser Menschen einen der Würmer, die dafür verantwortlich sind, auf sie überträgt.
