Yamada schafft es immer wieder, Ishidas Zorn auf sich zu ziehen. Warum muss er auch ausgerechnet sich in den Kopf setzen, mit Asakura einen Buchhandel zu eröffnen, wo Ishida schon seine gemeinsame Zukunft mit Asakura als Floristen geplant hat. Und weil Ishida bei seinem Lebenstraum weder Spaß versteht noch Störenfriede duldet, wird der vorlaute Yamada ständig Opfer von Ishidas roher Gewalttätigkeit. Trotzdem legt er sich immer wieder mit ihm an, egal wie übel es für ihn ausgeht.
