Ginkaku und Kinkaku sind Figuren aus der Geschichte „Die Reise nach Westen“. Sie sind hinter Nico her, die aus der Welt der Bilderbücher in die Menschenwelt herüber geflüchtet ist. Die gefährlichste Waffe der Dämonenbrüder sind ihre magischen Krüge („Crimson Gourd“, 紅葫蘆, Benihisago), mit denen sie einen gewaltigen Sog erzeugen, der alles in der Umgebung in die Krüge hineinzieht.
