Einer der Soldaten, die mit ihrer Einheit das Dorf, in dem der kleine Ryner Lute lebt, angreifen, um die von ihnen gestohlene Ausrüstung ihrer gefallenen Kameraden zurückzuerlangen. Nach einigen Gräueltaten werden dieser Soldat und seine Kameraden Zeuge wie ihr Kommandant durch die selbe Magie verbrennt, die dieser kurz zuvor noch auf Deel angewendet hatte. Als er daraufhin erkennt, dass Ryner im Besitz eines Aplha Stigmas ist, wodurch dieser den Zauberspruch einfach kopieren konnte, gibt er sofort die Anweisung wegzulaufen, denn mit einem Monster will sich keiner von ihnen anlegen.
