Kagemune ist der Anführer der Lanzenträger der Salamander (einer der neun Rassen in ALfheim Online. Er führt eine kleine Truppe an, die von Leafa und Recon das Gold und die Gegenstände klauen soll. Als sie schließlich Leafa in die Enge treiben, greift Kirito ins Geschehen ein und besiegt seine Einheit. Nachdem Kagemune Zeuge von Kiritos Stärke werden konnte, entscheidet er sich selber lieber für einen ordnungsgemäßen Rückzug, um so der Strafe für das mögliche Ableben seines Charakters und dem Verlust einiger Errungenschaften aus dem Weg zu gehen. Im Vergleich zu den normalen Soldaten der Salamander ist sein Helm der ansonsten komplett in Rot gehaltenen Rüstung grau lackiert.
