Auch im hohen Alter hat Joseph Joestar nichts von seiner Schlagfertigkeit eingebüßt und zunächst scheint es so als ob er ein wenig ruhiger geworden wäre. Als ein Mann mit seinem Rollkoffer gegen seinen Knöchel fährt, nimmt er das überraschenderweise äußerst gelassen auf und die Situation scheint bereinigt. Dies ändert sich schlagartig als Joseph erkennt, dass der Mann Japaner ist, fragt zur Sicherheit aber dann doch lieber noch einmal nach. Nach der Bestätigung kann er schließlich zur Tat schreiten und ihm einen satten Tritt gegen dessen Knöchel geben. Der Grund dafür ist denkbar einfach. Er kann sich selbst nach 20 Jahren immer noch nicht damit abfinden, dass seine einzige Tochter unbedingt einen Japaner heiraten musste und er jetzt immer um die halbe Welt fliegen muss, wenn er sie mal wieder sehen möchte.
