Als junger Mann arbeitete Saburou Musashino als Wissenschaftler am Projekt Engine-1 - dazu da die Monster loszuwerden - das wie aus dem Nichts von dessen Planer und Chefentwickler Chief V gestoppt worden ist. Im Gegensatz zu der Mehrheit, die sie als Verräterin der menschlichen Rasse betrachtete, glaubt er bis heute, dass sie einen Grund für ihr Handeln gehabt haben muss. Da Saburou darüber hinaus noch bis heute in sie verliebt ist, hat er in all den Jahren die Suche nach ihr nie aufgeben können.
