Einst war Fuugen ein mächtiger und starker Mann, der Meister des Nanto Koshu Ken war. Doch nachdem Shin sein Nachfolger wurde, verwundete dieser die Achillesverse seines Meisters, sodass Fuugen inzwischen nicht mehr dazu in der Lage ist, wirklich zu laufen. Natürlich kann er in seinem Zustand auch nicht mehr kämpfen, weswegen er schnell von einem Sklavenhändler gefasst wurde.
