Im normalen Leben ist Hellfire Boy das klassische Beispiel eines Muttersöhnchens, der von allen und jedem aufgemischt wird. In Wirklichkeit steckt hinter dem Jungen aber Hellfire Boy, mit der Macht über das Höllenfeuer. So überlebt er es auch als Inferno Cop an ihm ziemlich vorbeigerast kommt, sodass er von ihm mal eben in Brand gesetzt wird. In diesem sieht Hellfire Boy einen Gleichgesinnten und den idealen Partner um gemeinsam die Welt zu erobern. Zwar ist Inferno Cop erst skeptisch, wird aber schnell umgestimmt als er das Preisgeld von einer Million Yen für den Gewinner des America Racing Grand Prix sieht, an dem beide nun teilnehmen.
