Kokoro, eine Klassenkameradin von Chiyoko, interessiert sich für Ikebana, Gartenarbeit und eigentlich alles, was mit blühenden Blumen zu tun hat. Auf einem Ausflug mit ihren Mitschülerinnen, wo sie die Kirschblüten betrachten wollen, kann sie es daher nicht mit ansehen, dass einige Leute einen noch kahlen Kirschbaum als Müllabladeplatz benutzen. Indem sie einige der Müllsäcke wegräumt, wird allerdings der Geist, der in dem Baum wohnt, auf sie aufmerksam und ergreift Besitz von ihr.
