Als Aoi noch zur Grundschule ging, war sie bereits Feuer und Flamme für Idols. Guppi war eine der ersten, die sie besonders interessierten, und außerdem diejenige, durch die sie (anhand eines Werbeposters) auf die Modemarke „Futuring Girl“ aufmerksam wurde, Aois spätere Stamm-Marke. Des Weiteren hängt Guppi indirekt mit der ersten Begegnung zwischen Aoi und Ichigo zusammen, denn das geschah auf einem Volksfest, wo Guppi einen Auftritt hatte. Dies war gleichzeitig der Moment, wo in Aoi der Entschluss reifte, nicht länger mehr nur Fan zu sein, sondern selber eine Idol-Karriere anzustreben.
