Shuuji Kishida geht an der Kunsthochschule in die selbe Klasse wie Kiyone Okakura. Beide verstehen sich recht gut und sprechen während der Malstunden immer mal wieder miteinander. Da ihm die Bilder von ihr offenbar gefallen, glaubt Kiyone, dass er mehr Interesse an ihr haben würde, weshalb sie sich mittlerweile in ihn verliebt hat. Tatsächlich sieht er in ihr aber nur eine Klassenkameradin, während er selber ein Auge auf Yume Higashiyama geworfen hat, deren Charakter er zuvor selber noch bei Kiyone kritisiert hatte. Shuuji arbeitet vorwiegend mit Fotografien statt Bilder zu malen.
