Takashi Mizutani ist der Vater von Shizuku. Im Gegensatz zu seinen beiden Kindern Shizuku und Takaya ist Takashi jedoch weit entfernt von deren emotionaler Kälte und Korrektheit. Er ist eher phlegmatisch veranlagt, möchte seinen Kindern jedoch stets ein guter Vater sein. Da seine Frau nur selten Zuhause ist weil Tahashi laut ihrer Aussage »a failure with work« ist, kümmerte er sich meist um die Kinder und faulenzt ansonsten auf dem Sofa rum.
