Vor zehn Jahren verstarben Oharus Eltern aufgrund der unaufhaltbaren Insektenplage - immerhin gab es zum damaligen Zeitpunkt auch niemanden, der sich um diese Wesen hätte kümmern können. Zum Glück aber konnte man Briefe an den Shogun schreiben, die sich überwiegend um die Erschaffung eines Mushibugyou drehten. Auch Oharu und ihre Eltern taten dies und selbst nach deren Tod, schrieb sie fast jeden Tag an den Shogun.
