Purin gleicht ihrer Mutter Miruku wie ein Ei dem anderen, das einzige Unterscheidungsmerkmal ist ein Muttermal unter dem linken Auge von Miruku. Ihre Persönlichkeiten dagegen haben weniger Gemeinsamkeiten, denn während Purin in Liebesdingen ziemlich zurückhaltend, um nicht zu sagen verklemmt, eingestellt ist, geht ihre Mutter damit absolut offenherzig wie freimütig mit um. Deswegen versucht sie auch ihrer Tochter bei deren Beziehung zu Shuuta auf die Sprünge zu helfen, indem sie sich als sie ausgibt und Shuuta verführt, mit der Absicht, unbemerkt mit Purin zu tauschen, sobald sie ihn weit genug hat. Der gute Vorsatz war zwar da, aber letztendlich schafft sie es doch nicht, sich rechtzeitig von ihm loszueisen.
