Koko ist die König vom Königreich Sai und war schon sehr alt, als sie vom Kirin, Sairin, zur Königin auserwählt wurde. Sie dient ihrem Volk schon seit mehreren hundert Jahren als Königin und ist immer noch genauso gütig und liebenswürdig wie am ersten Tag.
Als das Mädchen Suzu Oki am Tor ihres Palastes um Hilfe bittet, zögert Koko nicht ihr Einlass zu gewähren und ihr mit bestem Rat beizustehen.
