Naoya besitzt die gleiche Gabe wie Wakaba, Geister wahrzunehmen, zusätzlich aber auch noch die Eigenschaft, die Vergangenheit der Geister zu sehen, wenn sie ihn berühren. Während sich Wakaba halbwegs damit arrangiert hat, ist seine Fähigkeit für Naoya die reinste Qual, weswegen er sie am liebsten loswerden möchte. Er hält von sich aus Abstand zu anderen, dennoch ist er an der Schule recht beliebt, und zwar bei den Mädchen, von denen ihm im Speziellen Miyori schöne Augen macht.
