Maiko ist die Klassenlehrerin in Shougos Klasse. In ihren Charakter mischen sich eigentlich widersprüchliche Charakterzüge, wie z.B. Aggressivität und Niedlichkeit. Des Weiteren ist sie ziemlich verfressen und legt außerhalb des Klassenraums meist ein kindisches Verhalten an den Tag.
Bezüglich ihrer geringen Größe, die sie wie ein Kind erscheinen lässt, erlaubt sich einer ihrer Schüler, Tanaka, des Öfteren kleine Witze. Diese werden jedoch von Maiko postwendend bestraft.
