Clair ist nach dem Tod ihres Vaters die rechtmäßige Erbin des Familien-Anwesens und übernimmt auch das dortige Personal wieder in ihre Dienste. Sie ist eine bescheidene Person, die sich ungeachtet ihrer gesellschaftlichen Stellung nicht als etwas Besseres als die Angestellten sieht und daher auch selbst Aufgaben erledigt, anstatt sich bedienen zu lassen. Allerdings verliert sie wegen eines dubiosen Dokuments die Besitzansprüche an Carol Wellacuster, entscheidet sich aber dennoch zum Bleiben, auch wenn dies bedeutet, dass sie sich fortan hier selbst als Dienstmädchen verdingen muss. Sie setzt ihre Hoffnung in Foster, dass er einen Ausweg aus dieser Situation findet, doch ihre Gefühle für ihn werden auf eine harte Probe gestellt, als er auf Geheiß der neuen Hausherrin wieder damit anfängt die Dienstmädchen zu Sexsklaven zu trainieren, so wie er es früher schon einmal getan hat.
