Midai-sama sorgt für den Nachschub an Geishas für ihren adeligen Meister, wozu sie sich nachts „auf die Jagd begibt“, wie sie es nennt. Sie steht an der Spitze der Hierarchie der Geishas, nicht was die Gunst des Meisters betrifft (er hat eine andere Favoritin), aber sie hat die höchste Entscheidungsgewalt unter ihnen, so dass sie vom Rang her etwa einem Verwalter gleichkommt. Von ihrem nächtlichen Geheimnis weiß ansonsten nur Kira, ebenfalls eine wichtige Person auf dem Anwesen, und außerdem ihr Geliebter. Sie mag es jedoch nicht, wenn er mit anderen Frauen herummacht, was für ihn praktisch die Regel ist und ranzt ihn regelrecht an, was ihm an ihr denn nicht gefällt und ob sie ihn nicht richtig befriedigen kann. Sie ist ohnehin leicht zu verärgern, vor allem wenn man ihr nicht den nötigen Respekt entgegenbringt, was aber bei den allermeisten erst gar nicht vorkommt, da sie für ihre Strenge bekannt ist.
