Kenji Ayase ist der Ehemann von Chieko und der Vater von Chitose und Chihaya. Er liebt seine Familie über alles und ist gerade auf seine Töchter stolz, weshalb das Sammeln von Zeitungsausschnitten über sie praktisch zu seinen Hobbys zählt. Zu Beginn der Geschichte wirkt es allerdings so, als wäre Chitose als angehendes Model sein klarer Favorit, denn ganze sieben Notizbücher hat er bereits gefüllt. Als Chihaya aber zunehmend Erfolge sammelt und auch so etwas wie Ruhm erlangt, legt er auch für sie ein solches Buch an.
