Manas Großmutter lebt in der aktuellen Zeitlinie nicht mehr, aber Mana sieht sie wieder als es Marsh gelingt, Mana in ihren eigenen Erinnerungen gefangen zu nehmen. Da Mana ihre liebevolle Großmutter sehr vermisst, fällt es ihr schwer, sich aus dieser Scheinwelt zu lösen, obwohl sie weiß, das sie nur ihren Gedanken entspringt. Auf ihre Großmutter geht unter anderem Manas Vorname, geschrieben mit dem Kanji für „Liebe“, zurück und aus einer Bemerkung von ihrem Ehemann, Manas Großvater, lässt sich deuten, dass Isuzu in ihren jüngeren Jahren wohl einen ähnlichen Charakter wie Mana gehabt haben muss.
