Obwohl sie selbst eigentlich eher der stille, schüchterne Typ ist, hat sich Nozomi Konparu, oder Pazumi wie sie oft genannt wird, irgendwie dazu überreden lassen, dem Disziplinarkomitee der Ooarai Mädchenschule beizutreten. Höchstwahrscheinlich dürfte dafür die Komiteechefin Sodoko verantwortlich sein, da sie ihr nichts abschlagen kann, und auch unfähig ist, ihr zu widersprechen wenn Sodoko sie wieder einmal herunterputzt. Doch als es plötzlich heißt, dass das Komitee in die Panzertruppe der Schule eingezogen wird, äußert selbst Pazumi leise Zweifel, was Sodoko aber im Keim erstickt. Nun sitzt sie am 75mm-Geschütz des Renault Char B1 Bis und folgt wie immer schweigend den Anweisungen, die ihr gegeben werden.
