Collete Preminger ist die Tochter des österreichischen Adligen Count Preminger und Nadjas Mutter. Sie ist auch die ehemalige Besitzerin von Nadjas Ballkleid und des Tagebuches.

Collete ist damals mit ihrer großen Liebe, Raymond, ihrem Klavierlehrer und Nadjas Vater, durchgebrannt, weil ihr Vater die Verbindung nicht guthieß. Sie lebten bis zu Raymonds Tod durch einen Unfall glücklich zusammen mit Nadja. Danach wurden Collete und Nadja durch eine schwere Krankheit getrennt und bis heute glaubt Collete, ihre Tochter sei verstorben.
