Baker ist der treue Diener von Lady Flynn Gilbit und er ist der einzige, der über die letzten Jahre darüber bescheid wusste, dass sich hinter der Maske des angeblichen Norman Gilbit, dessen Witwe Flynn befand. Mit seiner ruhigen und weitsichtigen Art, war er es, der Flynn zu dieser Tat geraten hatte, um auf diese Weise ihr Land beschützen zu können. Damit sich seine Herrin nicht verriet, übernahm er stets das Sprechen für sie.
