Hakuya Mitsumine ist ein sechzehnjähriger Junge, der zusammen mit seiner Schwester in den Bergen aufgewachsen ist, mit wenig Kontakt zur Außenwelt. An Kobenis sechzehntem Geburtstag stellt sich Hakuya als ihr Verlobter vor und zieht mit seiner Schwester Mashiro ins selbe Haus ein, außerdem besucht er seitdem auch Kobenis Schule.

Hakuya hat Schwierigkeiten seine Gefühle auszudrücken und wirkt deswegen sehr emotionslos, gleichzeitig ist er aber auch direkt und nimmt kein Blatt vor den Mund. Kobeni gegenüber ist er sehr fürsorglich aufgrund seiner Zuneigung zu ihr.
