Dem aktuellen WBA Champion Karlod sagt man Fäuste aus Stahl nach. Wer von seine Hieben getroffen wird, geht zumindest zumeist recht schnell zu Boden. Er ist der unangefochtene WBA Champion, der seinen Titel auch 10 Mal bisher verteidigen konnte. Entsprechend ist er sehr hoch angesehen und neben José eine Ikone des Boxsports. Die beiden sind allerdings nur schwer zu vergleichen, denn Karlod ist 7 Jahre jünger wie er und hat einen sehr viel aggressiveren Kampfstil. Bei ihm bekommt man das Gefühl, dass er seinen Gegner nicht allzu lange stehen lassen will. Dennoch ist er technisch brillant und braucht selber nicht allzu viel einzustecken.
