In seiner Welt war Ginta stets der tollpatschige und schwache Schüler, der gerne mal im Unterricht schlief. Wegen seiner Tagträumerei wird er ständig von seinen Klassenkameraden gehänselt. Er macht es nicht besser damit, dass er allen von seinen Träumen und Fantasien über ein Märchen-Königreich erzählt. Durch die Erzählungen seines Vaters hatte er schon immer einen Draht zu Märchen. Ironischerweise ging es in den Märchen seines Vater meist um das Königreich MÄR, in welches Ginta per Zufall gelangt.

In MÄR erlange er physische Stärke und nahm Babbo als ÄRM auf. Dort erfährt er auch von den Heldentaten seines Vaters, die Danna in den ersten »War Games« vollbrachte. Schlussendlich wird Ginta zum Grund für die nächsten »War Games« und er versucht die außergewöhnlichen Werke seines Vater nachzuahmen, indem er die »Chess« und Phantom besiegen will, um MÄR zu retten.
