Shinzaburou hat Schulden bei der Besitzerin eines Bordells, verfügt aber nicht über das Geld um diese begleichen zu können. Eine Lösung für dieses Problem sieht er in der Bediensteten Tsuyu. Er gaukelt ihr seine Liebe vor und plant die Flucht mit ihr, angeblich um sie heiraten zu können. Tatsächlich soll sie ihm aber lediglich beim Abbau seiner Schulden behilflich sein, indem er sie an die Bordellbesitzerin verkauft. Ein schlechtes Gewissen plagt ihn dabei nicht, dafür ist er aber sehr erleichtert darüber, dass er nun schuldenfrei ist.
