Auch wenn der Einjährige Krieg bereits sein Ende fand, so wurde weiterhin in militärische Kriegsschiffe investiert. Man war sich dessen bewusst, dass Mobile Suits entscheidend werden würden in jedem Konflikt, der noch folgen könnte. Entsprechend wurde die Alexandria kreiert, welche einerseits viele Mobile Suits tragen kann und andererseits mit mächtigen Waffen ausgerüstet ist. Es ist üblich, dass ein solches Schlachtschiff von einem hochrangigen Titans geführt wird.
